Have you always wanted to write but you're not sure where to start? Or perhaps you have started to write your novel and feel like you need a helping hand to keep going? Then why not enjoy an afternoon with Emma in her creative, informal writing class?
In this class, Emma will teach you how to create and develop convincing settings of time and place, using music, photography, objects and artworks to help inspire you.
Emma is a teacher with 26 years' experience and is passionate about helping people develop their creativity, through creative discussion and writing.
The afternoon will be informal and supportive and an opportunity for you to meet like-minded people.
Who would enjoy this course?
The class is suitable for those new to creative writing as well as people with some experience who are looking to develop their skills. It will take place in the Blue Room at Rheged, a calm, contemporary space that allows for creative thinking.
There is unlimited complementary tea and coffee and water available and you will be able to help yourself throughout the afternoon.
You are welcome to write on a device such as a laptop or a notepad/paper and your favourite pen or pencil.
