2022 marks 70 years of service from Queen Elizabeth II, and to commemorate this historic occasion, events and celebrations took place across the country. As the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, it was an occasion to remember – with a four day bank holiday bringing people together to celebrate in style.
Here in the Lake District, Cumbria, we were excited to join in the festivities! Over the bank holiday weekend from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June, there was plenty to experience, with many celebratory events taking place across the county.
