Brackenthwaite Farm sits just south of The Lake District at Morecambe Bay on the border between the Cumbria South Lakes and Lancashire. Set within ten acres of land but within easy reach of Silverdale, Arnside, and beyond, Brackenthwaite Farm offers the perfect mix of ‘escape to the country’ with plenty of places to visit, explore, and eat, plus things to do, appreciate, and enjoy.
Each of their three self-catering holiday properties are furnished and maintained to a very high standard, yet each retains a homely feel that helps you settle in straight away. The properties cater for couples on a romantic getaway wanting something unique and truly memorable, as well as older couples seeking fresh air, a friendly welcome, and the opportunity to watch and wonder at our local wildlife. Families with children who love to play and explore the great outdoors are also well provided for, as are the friends getting together for the first time in too long a time.
With the added benefit of a 2 ½ acre, fully enclosed field, nobody needs to be left behind. At Brackenthwaite Farm we pride ourselves on how ‘super dog friendly’ we are. Each property allows up to three dogs during any one stay (though we ask you to use discretion here: if you have three Irish Wolfhounds or Great Danes, then you might find the accommodation a little ‘too’ cosy). But with toys, balls and throwers in the main field, everybody can play until their hearts are content.
Locally, you’ll find every shop, café, pub, and restaurant welcomes dogs, which means when you go out for the day to explore the fabulous scenery, nature reserves, historic sights, towns, villages, or visitor attractions, you can be confident that your four-legged friend will be welcomed just as much as you are.
