Howgills Barn offers group accommodation for your exclusive use. Our Barn is the perfect country escape for celebrations and reunions, stag and hen dos; bursting with spectacular space. Located in the Yorkshire Dales and on the edge of the South Lakes our beautiful Barn is a short journey off J37 of the M6 or a 20 minute taxi journey from Oxenholme the Lake District train station.
Nestled at the bottom of the Howgill Fells, you'll be blown away by the 5 acres of space and sweeping panoramas. Formerly a cattle barn. Howgills Barn was renovated 15 years ago and offers 8 en-suite bunk room with little luxeries like underfloor heating and Sky TV. Play a little pool or table tennis in the games room. Enjoy a game of footie on the games field. Make it a movie night with the Sky TV. Laze in the outfdoor hot tub. Stargaze whilst throwing another log on the firepit. There's bags of space, inside and out for you and the kids to go wild!
There's plenty to see and do in the local area and what better playground than the Dales and Lakes? Relax, unwind or set yourself the challenge of 'summit bagging' one of the Howgill fells? If you are interested in taking in the sights we are close to the beautiful towns of Hawes and Kirkby Lonsdale, the market town of Kendal and also Ingleton which is known as the "Land of Waterfalls and Caves".
For those looking for something a little different we offer activities; duck herding, archery, gyhll scrambling, cocktail making to name but a few!

Leave the M6 motorway at junction 37 onto the A684, signposted to Sedbergh. At the end of the slip road turn right if you came from the south, or left if approaching from the north. Continue on the A684 for approximately 5 miles. A large sign welcomes you to Sedbergh.
Getting to Sedbergh from the North East: Use the A1 and A66 from Scotch Corner to Brough, then the A685 through Kirkby Stephen to the A683.
Getting to Sedbergh from the Leeds/Bradford area: Follow the A65 to Kirkby Lonsdale then take the A683 to Sedbergh.
The West Coast Mainline runs from London to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Most trains stop at Oxenholme station, 10 miles from Sedbergh. Local bus services between Kendal and Sedbergh stop at Oxenholme Station.
