Go through Ravenstonedale village following signs for Sedbergh.
At the end of the village the road bears left towards Sedbergh - but you should bear right and go over the stream on a flat concrete bridge.
Turn immediately left on the single-track road signed to Artlegarth and Adamthwaite.
Follow this towards Artlegarth for 3/4 of a mile.
You will go past a ruined barn on the right. A little further on turn left down a gravel track adjacent to a wooded plantation (signposted to The Green).
There is a limited bus service to/from Ravenstonedale, with buses to Kirkby Stephen, Sedbergh and Kendal. There are also leisurely trips out to Hawes and Barnard Castle on classic buses which stop in the village. The railway station at Kirkby Stephen is on the famous scenic Settle to Carlisle line and has services to Carlisle and Leeds. There is no taxi rank at either Kirkby Stephen station or Ravenstonedale. Taxis are available in the local area but need to be booked.
