528 reviewsWaterfoot Park is located in the beautiful Ullswater Valley, within walking distance of the charming village of Pooley Bridge, the Ullswater ‘Steamers’ pier, and Ullswater itself.
Nestled in the grounds of a Georgian mansion, you will find a collection of Lake District self-catering accommodation to suit various holiday styles and budgets.
There are four cottages, all of which offer views over the gardens, with the lake in the distance. Three of the cottages are dog-friendly. Additionally, for those who wish to stay in the heart of Pooley Bridge village, Captain’s Cottage welcomes six guests and up to two dogs.
There are also three apartments on the upper floor of the Mansion House. ‘Maiden Castle’ is a cosy one-bedroom apartment perfect for solo travellers and couples, while Arthur’s Pike and Dollywagon Pike offer far-reaching views over the gardens and lake.
Facilities on-site include a reception and shop, bar and lounge area, outdoor playground, laundry, a dog bath, and EV charging.
Waterfoot Park is an ideal location for those who enjoy walking, cycling, water sports, outdoor activities, wildlife, and heritage holidays. The park is situated on the Ullswater Way footpath, which circles Ullswater. This 20-mile walking route is known for its spectacular scenery and is easy to break down into sections, all of which are accessible from the park. You can also access the Dalemain Way, a shorter circular extension to the Ullswater Way.
