189 reviewsSet within Linthwaite House, Henrock, nestles high above the shores of England’s longest lake, Windermere, offering a stunning vantage point overlooking the distant Coniston fells and the small rocky island, Hen Rock,’ which gives this informal yet elegant restaurant its name.
Opened in October 2019, the restaurant offers an ever-changing seasonal à la carte menu, designed to deliver complex layers of flavour inspired by the chefs’ travels around the world.
Every dish at Henrock utilises produce from Simon Rogan’s own farm, Our Farm, located just a few miles away in the Cartmel Valley, alongside ingredients from trusted farmers and growers across the region.
Our Farm was established with a very clear vision in mind; to expressly strengthen the link between food, its development and the environment, whilst setting out to further nurture and develop the relationship between cooking and growing. This is a place where growers and chefs work side-by-side, an extension of the same ethos, drive and attention to detail found Simon’s restaurants.
This very same thinking and ethos can be clearly seen in the drinks menus served and created in Henrock’s bar, Our Bar, with an entire menu underpinned by a constantly evolving seasonal farm-to-glass approach.
The bar at Henrock provides guests the perfect opportunity to enjoy a selection of carefully crafted drinks throughout the day, whilst relaxing in the comfort of truly luxurious surroundings and enjoying unrivalled views of Windermere of the Lakeland mountains.
