377 reviewsAdjacent to our clay pigeon shooting site, nestled in the heart of Graythwaite Estate, is where our archery and axe throwing adventures takes place. Enjoyed as individual experiences or bookable together with the chance to exercise your archery skills whilst having a go at the ever increasingly popular sport of axe throwing. Our friendly and experienced instructors provide the all-important safety briefings followed by expert tuition for novices and those that have done it before. Here's your chance to channel your inner Robin Hood at the archery range and have a go at axe throwing; once the preserve of lumberjack competitions in the USA this activity has been embraced by the British public and is super fun and competitive.
Surrounded by peace and quiet and Lakeland estate land, this is the perfect location to learn something new or brush up on your aim.
Guests to Graythwaite Adventure can enjoy a variety of other awesome experiences; 4x4 off-road driving, clay pigeon shooting and bushcraft all year round, and RIB boat tours April to October.
Experience : Explore : Escape.
Upon arrival at our 4x4 and Shooting Site, please make use of our free parking before meeting with one of our team. Following introductions, you’ll head to the archery and axe throwing range, starting with the all-important safety briefing followed by a demo and instructions. There’ll be practice rounds before progressing into the competitive rounds – fun target rounds which will result one of you being crowned ‘aim of the day!’ As with all our activities, we only offer private experiences meaning we don’t mix bookings, which allows us to concentrate on you and those with you exclusively. Minimum guest numbers are 4 guests, although we do make exceptions for couples or 3 people when availability allows, so please do ask. Archery OR axe throwing is for approximately 45 minutes, both together approximately 1.5 hours.
