If you are looking for an accessible trail to take in lakeside views as well as get you into the woodlands, check out our Derwent Water and Cockshot wood accessible loop starting from Keswick Lakeside car park. Find all the information you need including gradients and photos to prepare for a lovely ramble which you can tag onto a visit to Keswick. This is a stile-free loop which takes you along Derwent Water to Friar's Crag viewpoint and up round through Cockshot wood where you can enjoy a peaceful moment listening to the birds overhead and the wind rustling through the leaves. On the return journey, stop at the Moon and Sixpence for a hot drink and cake or maybe an ice cream with a portion of proceeds going back to the National Trust so we can continue to look after the landscape in Borrowdale.
