Eagle Experience
Challenge yourself by enhancing your experience day with the inclusion with some of the world's most tenacious raptors, the eagles. Take to the Lakeland Fells with the most adaptable successful eagle of all, the Golden Eagle.
This is the ultimate adrenaline experience we offer, and you will see why as our 3-year old golden eagle, Ben, aptly named, flies in his natural environment of the Cumbrian mountain ranges to return to your gloved hand.
5-star lunch included. Minimum age 16 years.
Predator Experience
All that slithers, crawls and flies, have a go at handling tarantulas, snakes and various birds of prey. Overcome your fears and dispel the myths with our amenable collection of reptiles, arachnids and raptors. The predator experience is the ultimate handling day.
Hawk Walks
Our experience team of hawks are perfect evolutionary specialists. They are a great example of how by working together we can achieve more than our capabilities alone. In the deciduous woodlands by Windermere, you will be given opportunity to fly the team and interact with the pack. Life is a delicate balance for a bird of prey, and this is a great way to be close to raptors and observe their opportunistic natural behaviour, habitat and hunting styles. Suitable for all the family.
Falconry & Experience Days
Experience Days are a fantastic opportunity to interact with many different species of raptors and owls, as well as providing an over-view of the art and practice of falconry.
Your assigned falconer will provide a fascinating insight into the life and evolutionary specialisations of these precision predators. As well as learning how to handle a bird of prey and tie falconers knot, your day will include you yourself flying our agile team of hawks, who follow on as we walk through the stunning deciduous Lakeland woodlands, fly owls by the shores of Windermere and witness the speed of falcons over the Lakeland Fells.
Under 14 years to be accompanied by an adult.
School & Youth
Experiential learning is a vital part of the development of our youth. We offer a range of national curriculum, key stage based activities for all age groups and backgrounds. These include bird of prey handling with our reliable experienced bird team, environmental awareness, for example animal tracking skills and mini beast hunt, conservation projects, and educational games based around animal nature. Promoting learning through play, participation is the name of the game.
Our challenges are designed to fit together to create a whole learning experience, whether the activities are purely with Predator Experience, or you have chosen to enhance your day with an activity provided by our partners YMCA Lakeside.
We are happy to visit your school with key stage related talks including demonstration of birds of prey, ferrets and reptiles. Your visit will also include activities, bird of prey related games and a flying display.
Risk assessments are available with booking conformation.
Pre-booking is essential. All of our adventures are by appointment only.
* Appointment only.
