Situated in the centre of Allonby that nestles in a sandy bay on the unspoilt Solway Coast. Our beautifully converted 17thC barn cottages are hidden away in a tranquil courtyard. All have original features retained, such as, ancient oak beams and sandstone/cobbled walls.
We offer a total of seven cottages, two are all ground-floor level, and six are dog friendly. There is ample off-road parking.
We are open all year round and short breaks - Friday for 3 nights and Monday for 4 nights are available.
This is an ideal base for touring the Lake District as well as the beautiful Cumbrian coastline.
Free Wifi available. Barley Store, Engine House and Eighteen Byre have dishwashers. Travel cots and highchairs available on request. 6 Dog friendly cottages. Games room with pool table. Cycle hire nearby.
Beach only 250 metres from cottages and we have one of the best coastlines in England for windsurfing. There is a well maintained children's playground, pubs, shop, cafe and take away all within 5 minutes' walk.

From Penrith follow A66 towards Cockermouth then take A594 to Maryport. Turn right onto A596 for 0.5 mile bearing left onto B5300 heading towards Allonby. From Carlisle follow signs for Workington, A595/A596. At Thursby roundabout take A596 for Aspatria. In Aspatria take the B5301 to Westnewton. Turn left in Westnewton following the road until you reach Allonby then turn right at the junction. Go past the Ship Hotel and our cottages are situated behind the row of houses opposite the large red brick building (shore side). Turn off the main road at the tractor tyres by the lamp post with milk churn and you will see our courtyard entrance. You can obtain your cottage keys from Reception at the far side of the courtyard.
