John Ruskin's Lakeland home with its atmospheric rooms, extensive gardens and lakeshore is the perfect setting for a romantic Lake District wedding.
Brantwood’s 250 acre estate on the east side of Coniston has one of the most spectacular views in the Lake District - the perfect backdrop for your wedding photographs. You can also take your photographs in the house, on the terrace or in the gardens that Ruskin himself designed.
The house is available to hire for weddings, civil ceremonies, renewal of vows and other special occasions and we have a range of options to make your occasion unique to you.
Ceremonies seating up to 40 guests can take place in the drawing room where Ruskin used to write or in Ruskin’s refurbished studio gallery, which can accommodate 60.
You and your guests can enjoy Champagne and canapés indoors or out. The Terrace restaurant is available for wedding breakfasts and parties.
We also have accommodation available for up to 9 guests in the Lodge, and the Eyrie apartment can accommodate 2 guests.
Begin planning your special event by contacting our event manager through enquiries@brantwood.org.uk.
