Storrs Hall offers one of the most idyllic venues in the Lake District providing an extraordinary backdrop for a wedding celebration. The elegant Grade II* listed Georgian Mansion is a wedding cake perfect classic Country House, further enhanced by 6 Licenced spaces for your ceremony, be that an elopement Just For Two, or an Exclusive Use with your friends and family.
In the summer months, many couples choose to exchange vows outdoor in the romantic Garden Pavilion, with the lake and fells behind them providing a breath-taking backdrop. Others fall in love with the romantic architecture of the hall and wish to get married in the elegant Georgian Drawing Room. Newly added for 2022 are the South Lawns, sweeping down to the lakeshore with miles of lakeview; and our new Just for Two location – the terrace of our luxurious Boathouse.
After your ceremony you can hold your drinks reception beneath the Georgian rotunda. When sunlight streams through the stained glass windows a wonderful array of reflections light up the hallway beneath. Or maybe you prefer to enjoy drinks and canapés outside on the terrace, where you and your guests can relax before sitting down for a sumptuous wedding breakfast.

From M6 jct 36 take A590/A591 towards Kendal and Windermere. At the roundabout north of Kendal take the first exit B5284 towards Crook. Follow this road for approximately 6 miles to T-junction. Turn left and immediately right into Longtail hill to T-junction. Turn left onto A592 towards Newby Bridge for 1.5 miles. Storrs Hall is on the right; the entrance is on the sharp left bend.
