Thwaite Cottage is a newly-refurbished family home dating back to the 1600s with historic literally connections. Set in a quiet location on the outskirts of Coniston, this substantial and picture-perfect cottage enjoys an idyllic position close to the both Coniston village and the Coniston Water
Inside, the cottage is packed with character & charm yet modern comforts and luxurious touches are to be found throughout ensuring a truly unforgettable stay for any guest.
Outside guests can enjoy the use of the cottage's extensive gardens which include terraces, lawns and woodland and where you will discover wonderful places to dine, play or simply soak up the atmosphere of this unspoilt setting.
Downstairs within Thwaite Cottage there’s a a spacious sitting room with an imposing feature open fireplace, a formal dining room, useful boot room, utility space equipped with laundry facilities & handy downstairs W.C.
The heart of the home however is the spacious and sunny kitchen & breakfast room. The impressive space includes a newly fitted kitchen with stunning, teal electric Aga, walk-in larder and double doors to rear patio and garden beyond. There’s also a large dining table, which makes for the perfect place to enjoy a hearty breakfast before your day's adventures.
Upstairs are four double/twin bedrooms and a total of 4 bath/shower rooms, all newly refurbished with quality fixtures, fittings and tiling. Three of the bedrooms enjoy seasonal lake views and offer a variety of bed arrangements.
Outside extensive mature gardens surround the cottage on three sides and there is parking for up to 4 cars on the large driveway which also includes complimentary access to an EV charging point.
