You are here: Home > Food and Drink > The Sawmill Café & Farm Shop
You’ll find this delightful café & farm shop beside the River Irt in the beautiful Wasdale valley. Carefully restored by a local farming family, look out for the working waterwheel and millrace running through the heart of this fantastic venue.
Supporters of Lake District based producers, shop for locally sourced meats, cheeses, fruit and vegetables in the farm shop, along with a selection of jams, preserves and chutneys. Local beers, ciders, cakes and ice creams are also on offer.
Many of the ingredient from the farm shop can also be found on the café menu, all inspired by seasonal produce. Take a seat inside or outside on the river terrace, and tuck into a delicious breakfast or lunch to keep yourself fuelled pre or post adventure.
