As a Senior Sous Chef, you’ll be working at our street food venue BAHA, or our Lake View Garden Bar. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks:
To ensure food production, standards are carried out in a timely fashion
To carry out the smooth and efficient running of the section assigned as appropriate.
To assist the senior Sous Chef & Head Chef with compiling food orders
To plan, prepare, cook and present food to the standards required
To ensure that the company’s reputation for excellent food and service is adhered to.
For this role we are looking for people who are.
At least 3 years of experience in a similar role (Preferred)
Ability to work under pressure whilst following dish specifications & standards
Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes within the speciality section
Assisting the Head Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes
Assisting with the management of health and safety & risk assessments
Assisting with the management of kitchen opening and closing checklists
Managing and training any other Chefs
Assisting the senior staff to Monitor portion and waste control
Assisting the senior staff to Oversee the maintenance of kitchen and & HACCP regulations
Competent level of English spoken and written
Ideally you will have:
Knowledge and ability to run a section
Ability to work without close supervision
Ability to manage other Chefs
Ability to produce good quality food in all sections with good communication
Team management skills
High level of attention to detail
Good level of numeracy
Enthusiasm to develop your own skills and knowledge plus those around you
Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes
Positive and approachable manner
Team player qualities
Comfortable with being on camera (we love to celebrate our staff and shout about what we are doing on social media, so we are always looking for volunteers to hog the limelight).
