You are here: Home > Things to Do > Stargazing & Full Moon Night Swims at Another Place
Set in 18 acres of Lake District national parkland, Another Place, The Lake is a relaxed and contemporary hotel right on the lake shores of Ullswater. We’re all about getting outdoors in the fresh air, out on the fells or in the lake open water swimming or paddleboarding. Then, coming inside around a table for dinner or to float in the swimming pool. It’s about the good things in life; having fun, eating well, letting go.
Our guided wild and open water swims are led by Colin Hill, whose passion for cold water swimming is contagious. Choose to either swim at night under the light of the full moon or during the new moon when you can see the stars more clearly. The Milky Way can often be seen over Ullswater. You will experience 20 to 40 mins in the water with glow sticks and light-up floats. The session will take place in the bay in front of the hotel and will include a safety briefing. As a guest of the hotel, we provide all the equipment you need.
