*Cottage accommodation for 46 plus cots/z-beds
Weddings based at Monkhouse Hill offer something very different from the conventional one day function. Spending a week (or a weekend, depending on the time of year) together lets you include a wide variety of activities, entertainment and dining, allowing all to return both refreshed and reinvigorated (and in some cases married).
The wedding itself may take place at one of a range of nearby licensed locations, such as Greystoke Castle or the famous Gretna Green.
If you wish to hold a reception at Monkhouse Hill, we can site a marquee for you alongside the cottages - the atmosphere of guests mingling between their cottages and the function is truly unique.
For functions with marquees we ask that you book all nine cottages (which can accommodate 46 plus cots/z-beds). We can provide details of nearby hotels and B&Bs for additional guests.
We offer a choice of exceptional local caterers who will provide anything from a wedding luncheon for 8 to a reception for 100. Our local brewery at Hesket Newmarket will set up one or more real ales for your marquee or cottage. We can also help to organise wine and other drinks. You can choose your wedding cake from a wonderful range produced by our local cake specialist and our local florist can produce a wide range of floral displays for your cottages and/or marquee. Finally we can recommend a local professional photographer to record your special day.
We can put you in contact with previous customers who have used Monkhouse Hill in this way in order to provide reassurance and advice.
As we offer great flexibility in order to meet our guests exact requirements we are not able to give price details.
