Located on the Solway plain 6 miles southwest of Carlisle, Watchtree Nature Reserve is a haven for wildlife and a community asset for all.
Discover the 205-acre fully accessible site and its great network of trails and hides – enabling all visitors, no matter their access needs, to experience and enjoy UK wildlife in its natural habitat.
There’s also Watchtree Wheelers who offer on-site bike hire. Their extensive fleet includes something for everyone, such as a cargo trike, companion cycles and a wheelchair carrying tricycle. Get ready to ride in a safe, traffic-free environment. Once you’ve explored the nature reserve, refuel at the Watchtree Cafe, or enjoy an ice cream from the Three Hills Gelato Shack. Watchtree also hosts many events throughout the year and has an Education Zone for learning and well-being activities.
