Exploring Techniques in Woven Tapestry Workshop with Anna Wetherell
Saturday 1 March 2025 10am – 4pm
£65 plus £5 for materials
The Heallreaf tapestries are inspirational! We will have a look round the exhibition and see how the weavers have used colour and applied different techniques in their tapestries. Choosing a couple of ideas, we will return to the workroom and explore how they have been achieved, whether through colour blending, use of colour palettes, hatching, pick and pick, transparency, or anything else that has caught your eye. Suitable for beginners and beyond, we will choose techniques appropriate to your skill level and see where they take us during the day. Bring your own equipment if you have it, but there will also be looms warped up ready to go and a range of weft yarns available for you to use. Additional equipment will be available for sale, should you wish to continue weaving after the workshop day (up to around £75).
