However with an overwhelming choice of walks from the doorstep and some great wild swimming spots you will be tempted to explore, safe in the knowledge that the comfort of Hares Garth or Stone Cottage awaits you at the end of the day. Together with a fabulous homemade cake.
Hares Garth
Hares Garth sleeps two in a superking bedroom which can be prepared as a twin. This little detached barn has the main open plan living space on the upper floor to make the most of the beautiful mountain views. Cosy and cute, with bespoke furnishings and a very stylish bathroom, this is a firm favourite with our guests.
Stone Cottage
Stone Cottage sleeps up to 4 adults and 2 children (5 adults on request) and has won many awards for its design, comfort and incredible attention to detail. The views from every window are sublime and make getting up in the morning very difficult. However the crackle of the open fire and the enveloping sofas provide a beautiful place to while away a few hours, play games around the unique clock table or simply curl up with a book on one of the window seats...you may even spot a red squirrel scampering past.

Road Directions
45 minutes from J36 of the M6. Turn off in Windermere onto the A592 over Kirkstone Pass and the properties are 1.5 miles beyond Brotherswater, set back on the left hand side up a private road. Or from the North, 35 minutes from Junction 40. Follow the A592 along the length of Ullswater, through Glenridding and then 1 mile after Patterdale turn right at Deepdale Hall up a private track to the properties.
