Tripadvisor Traveller Rating
486 reviewsHill of Oaks occupies a prime position on the shores of Windermere, making it extremely popular with people looking for lakeside holiday homes.
The park is nestled in an ancient woodland of mature oak trees, offering over a mile of private lakeshore, beautiful views, relaxing picnic areas, and nature trails. Despite its tranquil setting, the park is only five miles from the lively town of Bowness-on-Windermere, where you can find a wide selection of dining options, shopping, and visitor attractions.
During the summer there are twice-weekly cruise connections to Lakeside, with onward connections to Ambleside and Bowness. There is also a local bus service. The nearest bus stop is located near the rear entrance of the park.
Park highlights include:
• Six private piers and two slipways, free to use at your leisure.
• Boat storage facilities available (annual charge applies).
• Shop selling basic provisions and a laundry.
• Children's play area.
• Dog walking field.
• EV chargers (charge applies).
We maintain a no-subletting policy to create a community of like-minded holiday homeowners.
We are a dog-friendly Lake District holiday park.
