Brown Howe car park is on the A5084, on the west side of Coniston Water, between Torver and Greenodd. It is next to the lake southeast of Thrang Crag Wood. Non powered craft may be launched from the car park. Please do not park in the private car park for Brown Howe House.
Wheelchair and buggy-friendly access to lakeshore. Picnic area.
Walks are available from here to Blawith Fells and Beacon Tarn.
Near Satterthwaite, Grizedale, Ambleside. Known locally as Force Forge. In open woodland.
