You are here: Home > Explore Cumbria > Travel > Wasdale Shuttle Bus
The Wasdale Shuttle runs from 25th May 2024 until 15th September 2024, Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
This summer thanks to funding from the GDF community fund this bus will run FREE of charge.
The bus is a 22 seat vehicle with space for a pushchair/folding wheelchair. Dogs are allowed on the bus.
Take the Wasdale Shuttle bus and make your visit to Wasdale easier and better for the climate, the community and the landscape. Parking in the valley is very limited, but you can catch the shuttlebus from Ravenglass Village, home of the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway, to Wasdale Head. Wasdale Head is the starting point for walks to Scawfell, Scafell Pike, Great Gable and other fells as well as Wastwater.
This year the bus will be running to Muncaster Castle and Gardens.
The shuttlebus route goes from Ravenglass village car park, train station, where there's lots of parking and you can travel along the scenic Cumbria Coast railway line.
