We are very proud of the excellent reputation that Lyzzick Hall’s restaurant has acquired over the years. Everything is prepared by our experienced and talented chefs using the finest ingredients and often herbs from our own garden.
We use local suppliers whenever we can, from Borrowdale Herdwick Lamb from Yew Tree Farm and game from Cartmel to a wide selection of Cumbrian cheeses. We are confident that eating in our restaurant will be the highlight of your stay and most of our guests choose to dine with us every evening.
Our food is a combination of traditional and contemporary British food, often with an international twist. As well as dinner, we offer a tempting lunch menu and are happy to let the occasion or your appetite decide your choice. Enjoy the menu in full or just a course or two, the choice is yours and is priced accordingly. Our Four Course Sunday Lunch is extremely popular and booking a table is recommended.
The dining-room itself is beautifully furnished with gleaming cutlery, crisp white linen, candles and fresh flowers on all the tables.
We are open to non-residents for lunch and dinner, please telephone to make a reservation.

Lyzzick Hall is situated on the lower slopes of Skiddaw in a Hamlet called Underskiddaw. The easiest way to reach us is by car as we are only a short drive from the M6 motorway. To reach by car leave the M6 Motorway at junction 40 and follow the A66 towards Keswick, but do not enter Keswick. At the first traffic island turn right onto the A591 towards Carlisle. Lyzzick Hall is now 1 1/2 miles on the right.
We can also easily be reached using public transport from either of the mainline stations at Carlisle or Penrith.
