Windermere Tourist Information Centre is ideally situated a minute’s walk from Windermere Railway Station and bus station. Only a mile and a half away from the shores of lake Windermere and across the road from the start of the popular Orrest Head walk, the Information Centre also serves as a booking offi ce for Mountain Goat Tours, where bookings can be made for a range of sightseeing tours of the Lake District National Park, Yorkshire Dales, and Hadrian’s Wall.
Our friendly and knowledgeable team provides a wide range of information on the local area, including activities, attractions, and events. There are a variety of maps and guides along with gifts and recommendations on what to do whilst visiting the Lake District National Park.
We offer a luggage storage facility from £10.00 all day, information on local attractions, walking and cycling routes. We also have a large selection of maps and a wide range of local gifts and souvenirs.

From the M6 take jct 36, signed A590. Stay on this dual carriageway to A591 Windermere, about 20 minutes from the M6. As you enter Windermere, at the left turn to the town centre the TIC is the wooden building on the left at the junction. There is 1 hour free parking right in front.
