If you are looking for an accessible trail to take in lakeside views, check out our Accessible trail to Broomhill Point viewpoint starting from Keswick Lakeside car park. Find all the information you need including gradients and photos to prepare for a lovely ramble which you can tag onto a visit to Keswick. This is a stile-free out and back route which takes you too Broomhill Point with views out to Cat Bells and Causey Pike including a section of boardwalk through Ings Wood. Choose from two routes at Strandshag bay to stay high and dry or get closer to the waters edge. On the return journey, stop at the Moon and Sixpence for a hot drink and cake or maybe an ice cream with a portion of proceeds going back to the National Trust so we can continue to look after the landscape in Borrowdale.

This out-and-back walk starts from Keswick Lakeside carpark (what3Words ///waltzed.sideburns.cases), and includes tarmac lakeshore promenade before venturing out on paths through sheep fields with variable surfaces – including a recycled plastic boardwalk that’s 2m wide.
