475 reviewsBrewery Arts is a thriving and dynamic arts organisation with over fifty years' experience of delivering an exciting and inspirational programme, including cultural events, festivals and creative learning courses. Our venue is a beautiful, historic building full of charm and set against the backdrop of the picturesque market town of Kendal. We host major festivals every year, including the internationally renowned Kendal Mountain Festival, and we have developed strong partnerships with key organisations locally, regionally and nationally.
Cinema
Showcasing a wide range of films across newly refurbished and spacious screens, our cinema is fully equipped with clean-air extraction systems, wheelchair spaces and induction loop facilities. Our film programme offers something for everyone. See our film times here.
Bar & Restaurant
Daytimes Our spacious and relaxing bar & restaurant is open for coffee, drinks and cakes Tuesday to Saturday, 11am-4pm.
Evenings Dine with us Wednesday to Saturday from 4pm (open until 11pm, food served until 9pm).
£7.50 Pizza & Pasta Deal – Wednesday to Friday between 4-5pm enjoy a £7.50 pizza or pasta dish. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available.

Venues
Brewery Arts is a world-class cultural hub for the North West and regularly hosts some of the best touring comedians, musicians, artists and theatre productions in the country. Our historic building provides a fantastic atmosphere in beautiful surroundings. We can cater for any kind of event, including live music, conferences, parties and much more. Our Malt Room is a flexible venue which boasts a capacity of 450 when standing whilst our raked theatre can seat up to 260 people. The venue also includes two cinemas, a digital lounge, darkroom facilities, galleries, gardens, bars, restaurant and creative studios.
Creative Learning
We run a varied and vibrant programme of Creative Learning classes and workshops for young people and adults throughout the year. These include dance, drama, visual arts, music, languages, film and more. Young people and their ideas are at the heart of the creative process in all our classes, guided by our expert team of artists and creative professionals. Adults enjoy learning new skills, developing their knowledge and creativity in a relaxed and social environment. Our inclusive approach enables anyone to take part, whatever their age, ability or background.
