Ghyll Scrambling - Coniston
A very aquatic and very popular ghyll scramble with options for canyoning. This hidden gem is situated just a stone’s throw from the village of Coniston. Within these steep gorge walls, you will take the plunge into crystal-clear pools and scramble your way up rocky waterfalls. This ghyll has it all!! Deep pools, jumps, scrambles, climbs and slides.
Ghyll Scrambling – Langdale
Situated in the heart of The Lake District National Park is Stickle Ghyll. A truly unique ghyll that winds its way up the mountainside towards Stickle Tarn. This scramble also has an optional big roped climb right up the middle of a 12m waterfall. It is a great venue in high water or winter months when all the other ghylls can become inaccessible. During lower levels, you can choose to stay a little drier if you wish.
Ghyll Scrambling – Wasdale
Tucked away in a remote and beautiful corner of the lakes, make your way up this hidden canyon, jumping, swimming and climbing up and through the crystal-clear water along the way. Complete with a small roped climb and hidden cave this ghyll is packed with action and adventure.
Ghyll Scrambling - Eskdale
If you want to go extreme, we have the ultimate all-day adventure in the Esk Gorge. Situated in the picturesque Esk valley surrounded by towering hills, this epic ghyll is full of fun scrambles, swims and loads of jumps some up to 8 metres in height. (Minimum age of 14)
