Museum, art gallery, community hub, generally great place. We offer a forward-thinking programme of special exhibitions and events. Proudly caring for an almost 1 million-strong collection of objects that tell the story of Carlisle and Cumbria. The museum is currently undergoing some redevelopment work so only Backing the Blues: 120 Years of Carlisle United, the café and Roman Frontier Gallery are currently open.
From 23rd November, Sheila Fell: Cumberland on Canvas, Border Galleries, The Costume Collection and Old Tullie House will also open. To get the galleries ready, the whole site will need to close from 11th November - 23rd November.
