Step into a world of festive creativity and holiday cheer this December as Blackwell hosts its first ever 12 Days of Christmas celebration! Perfect for creative enthusiasts, families, and arts and heritage lovers, this unique event offers a series of workshops, live music performances, and enchanting experiences set within the stunning Arts & Crafts house.

4 December: Luxury Everlasting Dried Wreath Workshop with The Floralistas
Craft a timeless festive wreath with The Floralistas using sustainably grown British foliage. This workshop runs from 10:30am–1pm.

5 December: Christmas Rag Wreath Workshop with Crafty Little Bird
Use upcycled fabrics and festive adornments like pinecones and baubles to create a one-of-a-kind rag wreath to take home. This workshop runs from 10am–1pm.

6 December: Festive Pom Pom Garland with Love Art Workshops
Create your very own stunning holiday garland, combining vibrant pom poms and charming needle-felted decorations. Sessions run from 10:30am–12:30pm and 1:30pm–3:30pm.

8 December: Have a Go at Weaving with Sara Turton
Families are invited to explore the art of weaving in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, guided by talented textile artist Sara Turton. This activity is included with house admission.

13 December: Felted 3D Friends with Love Art Workshops
Learn the art of needle felting to create your own adorable 3D character or creature. Sessions run from 10am–12pm and 1pm–3pm.

14 December: Family-Friendly Day with Lakeland Arts
Experience a magical day at Blackwell with festive folktales, crafting your own Christmas decoration, and more. Activities run throughout the day.

18 December: Christmas Carols with Kendal Concert Band
Enjoy the sounds of Christmas carols performed by the Kendal Concert Band in Blackwell's Main Hall. This musical experience runs from 10:30am–12pm.

20 December: Festive Needle-Felting Landscapes with Love Art Workshops
Create a textured, detailed wool landscape in this magical needle-felting workshop. Sessions run from 10am–12pm and 1pm–3pm.

21 December: Christmas Tunes and Carols with North West Harps
Soak in the enchanting sounds of Christmas tunes and carols performed by the North West Harps in the Main Hall. This experience runs from 11am–1pm.

23 December: Family-Friendly Day with Lakeland Arts & Friends
Make magical memories with a day of creativity, festive storytelling, and holiday cheer. Activities run throughout the day.

Treat yourself to a festive afternoon tea at Blackwell's charming Tea Room, with breathtaking views of the Lake District. Available every Monday and Thursday in December until Christmas Eve. Advance booking is required at least one week prior. Sittings start at 2pm or 2:30pm.
