Starting from the car park at the White Lion we have a steady ascent to the broad ridge of St Sunday Crag with fantastic views of the Helvellyn Range and beyond. The ridge narrows as it descends to an easy rocky scramble from Deepdale Haws up to the summit of Fairfaild where the views of the Central and Western Fells open up. Return is over the more rolling terrain of Hart Crag and the ridge of Hartsop above How.
In winter conditions good clothing is essential, poles and microspikes may be advisable, get in touch if you have any questions
