Historic pub and arts venue The Farmer's Arms in Lowick Green, Ulverston announces a Mothering Sunday with a little extra for 2025 – the Throw Down experience for the family!
Guests will be able to join us for a part or full day, as their schedule allows, for a choice of a delicious Sunday Lunch (two-course or three-course option) or an indulgent Mother's Day high tea, and, sandwiched between, an optional pottery workshop for the family.
Working as a family group, or as individual members, guests will be able to decorate a handmade bowl (made especially for the workshop by our in-house potter Francis Lloyd Jones) to create a lasting and functional memory of their day.
There will be lots of glazing techniques to experiment with – sgraffito, stencil, tube lining, brush work, sponging, all the things shown on The Great Pottery Throw Down and more! – and our creative team will be on hand with lots of tips to help our guests create a thing of beauty and style!
