Making braids and cords is such a useful skill for any textile person – weaver, knitter, or other. It's not just about making braids, it's what you can do with threads, yarns and ends, that can give that extra finishing touch to a project or garment. This workshop is a must for anyone wishing to add some key skills to their repertoire, making braids and cords with minimal or no special equipment. Part of our day will be spent trying out these new techniques with a range of different yarns and materials.
All tools and materials are included; however, if you have some favourite yarns, or favourite fabric cut into 1"/2.5cm wide strips, then please bring these along with you.
