On this one-day course, you will learn the basic skills of stained glass – choosing from a tutor template or creating their own simple design. The panel can be all glass, or incorporate a mirror if desired. Learn to choose and cut glass shapes, and to assemble your panel in lead, shaping and cutting the lead to size. Finally, you will solder your panel together to create the finished piece which can be taken away at the end of the day.
N.B. Traditional stained glass requires good mobility and strength in both hands and will involve some standing. There are materials which pose potential risk to health, including lead. Health and safety advice and protection will be provided on the course, but if you have any particular concerns (for example, if you are pregnant) please contact the tutor in advance.
