At Cowshed Creative in the Lake District, we run an extensive range of art and craft workshops in our beautifully converted art studio 6 miles from Windermere and Kendal.

On this course you will learn a range of jewellery techniques, working with silver, brass and copper to create your own designs and textures. You should create 2 spinner rings (maybe more depending on the speed you work) by the end of the day. Join us to create unique pieces of jewellery that will be a joy to wear or make a perfect gift. Suitable for beginners and more experienced makers.

Spinner rings are created from two rings; the small middle ring spins around the wider inner band encircling the finger. Alongside a contemporary look, the spinning motion is perfect for meditation and reducing stress.

Gail Coxon comes from a background in Fine Art and Graphic Design, going on to study Spatial design at the university of Salford. After the sale of a previous business she discovered the joy of metalwork and within two years had started another business selling her own jewellery. Gail is part of a local artists' collective and sells her work online, at Artisan fairs and has had worked exhibited in local galleries and museums. She began teaching wedding ring workshops and one to one sessions and now teaches classes at her own teaching studios.
