Clare House combines the splendour and elegance of its Victorian heritage with modern amenities and services to provide a relaxing and charming haven in which to escape today's hectic pace.
Since 1969 your hosts the Read family have lovingly restored, and continue to modernise, Clare House and its extensive gardens to offer a feeling of 'Country House' hospitality.
The meals, for which we have an AA rosette, combined with personal attentive service and luxurious facilities have placed Clare House amongst the AA's 'Inspectors' Choice Hotel' 2 Red Star Hotels and gained an acclaimed Gold Award from Visit Britain. All 18 bedrooms have private facilities and have been thoughtfully designed; most enjoy a spectacular view over the garden and bay.
Grange-over-Sands is a 'gentle township' offering good quality local shops, parks and gardens and a traffic free promenade for a relaxing stroll and, situated on Morecambe Bay is within easy reach of the mountains and fells of the Lake District.
Clare House offers an ideal base from which to enjoy the breathtaking scenery in this idyllic corner of South Lakeland, a delightful meal awaiting your return.
