You are here: Home > Accommodation > Iveing at Ambleside
Iveing at Ambleside sits within a large traditional Lakeland cottage in the heart of the town: we are a 5 minute walk to the shops and 7 minutes to Lake Windermere. Formerly 'Ambleside Backpackers Hostel', it was renovated in 2022 to provide affordable group and family accommodation, across two properties:
Iveing House - sleeps 16 across seven bedrooms. As well as a wealth of original features such as fireplaces, shutters and wooden floors, we've retained some of the more useful commercial aspects of the former hostel, such as the large boot room, the semi-commercial kitchen and a generous supply of showers!
The light filled characterful dining room comfortably accommodates all guests and the woodburner in the lounge is the perfect place to relax in the evenings.
Ideal for family groups and lovers of the great outdoors, it's generous rooms invite a truly sociable experience, with doorstep access to some of the Lake District's most stunning walks, cycling and watersports. Four dogs are welcome.
Guide price for 7 nights; £1,600 to £3,500.
Iveing View sleeps four and is a cosy hideaway, tucked at the rear of the house. From the bright and airy open-plan living / dining area enjoy dual aspect views of the Fairfield Horseshoe and the eastern Fells. It comprise two double bedrooms, a well-equipped galley kitchen and modern bathroom with bath. Two dogs are welcome.
Guide prices for 7 nights: £515 to £825.
Private driveway parking is available. The properties are interlinked, accommodating up to 20 guests.
