Easter Fun with The National Trust

National Trust sites across Cumbria are celebrating with a range of Easter events. Enjoy Easter trails at places like Allan Bank in Grasmere (26 March – 7 April) and Sizergh Castle (29 March – 1 April), and Easter Egg hunts at Acorn Bank (28 March – 14 April) and Wordsworth House in Cockermouth (29 March – 10 April).

Easter Eggstravaganza at Walby Farm Park

Head to Walby Farm Park for an Easter Eggstravaganza (28 March – 176 April), packed with Easter activities. Kids can decorate their own chocolate treat in the Chocolatiers’ Kitchen, meet baby lambs on the farm, take part in a giant Easter egg hunt, and plenty more.

Easter Adventure Quests at Carlisle Castle & Hadrian’s Wall

At Carlisle Castle and Birdoswald Roman Fort, kids can head off on an Easter Adventure Quest during the school holidays (23 March - 14 April): hunt for clues and eggs, and be rewarded with a chocolate treat.

In Carlisle’s city centre, an award-winning Easter International Market takes place between 28 March – 1 April. Over 40 traders will bring an array of global treats to the city centre, from arts and crafts to street food.

Over the Easter weekend, there’s family fun at Muncaster Castle with everything from the Big Muncaster Egg Hunt and an Easter Spring Trail, to protective egg shield workshops – can your shield keep your egg safe during the Big Egg Drop from the castle roof?!

Head off on an Easter adventure at Brockhole on Windermere (29 March – 5 April). Pick up a trail sheet and head off on The Golden Bunny Easter Egg Hunt. Once you find him, take a photo with him to claim your prize.

Brantwood Big Easter Weekend

Head to Brantwood, Coniston over the easter weekend for captivating nature-based activities for kids and adults alike. On Saturday 30 March there’s a nature-themed scavenger hunt while Easter Sunday sees a cosy craft morning where kids can create Easter and spring themed decorations.
