Turn your routine conference break into an off road driving event with Kankku. Get everyone in your team behind the wheel of a specially prepared 4x4 in a team convoy journey off the beaten track in the Lake District National Park.

We can start our off road journey right from your accommodation, collecting from the hotel reception. The routes are varied and you may find yourself navigating through forests, fording Lakeland streams, or carefully negotiating narrow mountain trails; whatever the terrain, there is always a great sense of adventure as you swap and change from driver to navigator and make your way through stunning Lake District hills and valleys.

We run our expeditions with specially prepared ex-military Land Rovers. There is plenty of time to swap and change drivers and you will enjoy a great sense of camaraderie running in a convoy of off road vehicles and it is interesting to watch the other vehicles in your team as they travel the terrain.

The Expedition is our most popular trail in which you will be out for between 3 and 7 hours on a cross section of off road terrain. There is time to get intimate with your 4x4 and the landscape, to enjoy a break for a quick pub meal or a sandwich on top of one of the peaks, and then to hit the trail again and apply Kankku style "intelligent off road driving techniques" to find your off road limits.

Help and guidance is always on hand from the experienced Kankku team in order to keep you exploring and to deliver specialist knowledge; this is delivered in a relaxed format and accompanied by tales of local interest and legend. All of our team have experience of dealing with both complete newcomers to off road driving as well as drivers with more confidence and experience.

4x4 Kankku Self Drive Safari - Overlander Aventure

Put your team in charge of driving and navigating your own fleet of ex-army Land Rovers on an off road journey through the Lake District National Park.

You yourselves will be in command of the fleet of ex-army Land Rovers that take you right back to basics and encourage you to engage with the countryside. The vehicles will set off a few minutes apart to enable each team to individually enjoy the challenges of both driving and navigating as they journey over more gentle off road tracks and trails through the Lake District National Park.

A remote guide will regroup and separate the convoy as necessary to manage the adventure and, crucially, will also be on hand to assist if required.
