From the centre of Coniston we will ascend through the historic Coppermines Valley to Levers Water. A steep ascent then takes us to the top of Brim Fell followed by the summit of Coniston Old Man and a choice of descents back to Coniston and its many welcoming hostelries.
In winter conditions good clothing and a head torch are essential, poles and microspikes may be advisable, get in touch if you have any questions. Weather or ground conditions may require a change of route.
If you wish more of a challenge the route can be extended to include more summits.
