The "Not to be missed" Knitted Bible Stories Exhibition will be hosted by Keswick Methodist Church from April 16 – 26 as it continues its tour around the country, having begun touring back in 2008.
The innovative exhibition that brings biblical stories to life through the art of knitting and textile craft was created by St George's United Reformed Church in Hartlepool and features a tableaux made up of 35 different biblical scenes.
Visitors will experience an original and creative interpretation of well-known bible stories, including the Creation Story, the Nativity and David & Goliath. These colourfully and detailed, stunning pieces offer an accessible way for everyone to engage with and reflect on biblical themes.
Come and look around the exhibits and choose your favourite story! Entry is free and donations are very welcome. In addition to light refreshments on sale, there will be programmes with more detailed info about each bible story, craft items and other gifts to purchase.
The exhibition forms part of a major Eco Roof fundraising appeal to replace the church roof and install solar panels and batteries, thereby reducing our carbon footprint and providing a viable community building in Keswick for the future.
There are opportunities for group visits from Craft Guilds, schools, churches etc., please contact 017687 75818 for more details.
