Join us for an inspiring guided drawing tour where art comes to life through your sketches. Whether you're a seasoned artist or just beginning, this creative experience is a fun way to connect with art.

No sketching experience is needed, so whether you're a seasoned artist or just beginning, this experience offers a creative way to connect with Abbot Hall's displays.

Our artist-guide will take you through the gallery and offer tips and techniques for observation drawing. Respond to the art, feel inspired and create something you're proud of.

Each monthly session will focus on specific area of the gallery, giving you the time to look closely and notice hidden details in each space.

In the first half of the session, you'll be sketching, mark making and gathering inspiration responding to the current exhibitions and displays. Following this, you'll be invited to the Creative Space Café, where you can focus on the detail or add splashes of colour to your artwork. What you create is entirely up to you!

Sessions at 10:30am – 12:00pm
Meet at Abbot Hall reception
Everyone from beginners to fully fledged artists are welcome.
Suitable for people aged 12+
All materials will be provided on the day, but feel free to bring long your favourite materials too!

Abbot Hall is a multi-level Georgian building. Galleries are accessible via a series of stairs or staff operated lifts.
