Many important national and local events happened during the winter months, Christmas, and New Year. Join this interesting, guided walking tour around our city centre. See heritage buildings and hear about many historic winter events that shaped the story of Carlisle.
Tours take place on the following dates:
• Saturday 7 December
• Saturday 4 January
Tours depart from the Carlisle Station Hotel foyer (opposite the Citadel) at 1pm, and last for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Tours are £10 per adult, which includes a voucher for a complimentary regular coffee or house tea at a Watts Coffee Shop. £2 discount for a MyCumbria member and four guests.
Tickets must be booked in advance from the Carlisle Tourist Information Centre (01228 598596).
Funds from the Winter City Walking Tours will be donated to St Cuthbert’s Church, who have welcomed Great Guided Tours into the church and Tithe Barn for many years.
Wear warm, waterproof clothing to be comfortable.
Enjoy seasonal refreshments after the tour.
