The Netherwood is a beautiful Grade II listed Victorian Mansion standing in 15 acres of woodland and landscaped gardens with breath taking uninterrupted views across Morecambe Bay.
A stay at the Netherwood offers all the charm of an elegant manor house combined with the essential facilities and luxurious comforts you would expect for a relaxing hotel stay.
Offering comfortable rooms with plenty of added extras to make your stay enjoyable, the views over Morecambe Bay at the front and the Woodlands at the back of the house ensure your stay is extra special. Our friendly team are here to look after you and share the warm hospitality that makes the Netherwood extra special.
The Spa at the Netherwood is a recent addition to the hotel and certainly completes your hotel experience. With a luxurious Thermal Suite at its heart spend time in the traditional sauna, revive your senses in the aromatherapy steam room and boost your system with a cold plunge pool experience. Indulge in a sumptuous treatment from our spa partner, luxury British skincare brand Elemis to complete your spa experience.
Our restaurant is an important part of your Netherwood experience, our talented chefs are proud to use the very best local Cumbrian produce and create a menus that change with the seasons.
The full length windows of the dining room also ensure that you can enjoy the sweeping views of Morecambe Bay while you dine.There are 28 ensuite bedrooms in the main house, most offer spectacular views across the Morecambe Bay estuary to the hills beyond, others look out across the woodlands at the back of the hotel that leads into the Brown Robin Nature Reserve, famed for its Bluebell displays and primrose carpet in the spring.
Alternative accommodation is offered in the Turrets, Treehaven and Rock House, stand alone properties located in the gardens a short walk from the main house. The Turrets and Treehaven each have a private courtyard area with hot tub for their own use.
All of our rooms have free, fast Wi-Fi and there is plenty of free on site parking.
During your stay guests can use the gym facilities and pre book access to the spa and Thermal suite, there is a charge to use this facility and spa treatments are charged as taken.
