Discover your dream wedding venue, set above the shores of Morecambe Bay in the pretty resort town of Grange-over-Sands in the southern tip of the Lake District.
The Netherwood Hotel is a beautiful Grade II Listed mansion house set within landscaped gardens, unique topiary and woodlands and with sweeping views out over Morecambe, perfect for those all-important wedding photos. We have four different rooms licensed to hold wedding ceremonies, each with a different ambiance. Whether your wedding is for 2 or 120, you will find the room that is perfect for you.
Deakin Suite can accommodate up to 120 guests for a wedding breakfast, a light and airy room with full-length windows and views over our gardens and the bay beyond.
The Ballroom and Terrace Bar Lounge offer similar stunning views and flexible space. The Ballroom itself is a beautiful oak panelled room with a magnificent ornate carved stone fireplace, and will seat from 30 – 80 for your ceremony. Couple the Ballroom with the adjoining Terrace Bar Lounge and you can accommodate up to 120 evening guests, whilst still retaining the period charm. The Terrace Bar Lounge opens onto top terrace area, with dramatic and panoramic views over the Bay.
For smaller weddings we offer the Library or the Residents Lounge. Like the grander Ballroom, these rooms feature hand carved oak panelling and original fireplaces, with the delightful addition of original lead paned stained glass windows which create a magical light. The Library will seat up to 20 guests and the Residents Lounge up to 30. Both rooms reflect the warmth and charm of the house, creating a soft intimate space for your ceremony.
