718 reviewsThis contemporary bistro with beds is a stone’s throw from the idyllic village of Grasmere. The 17th Century former farm has 7 plush en-suite bedrooms, sleeping 2, 3, or 4 people each - it's the ideal Grasmere hotel for individuals, couples, families and groups. 2 rooms are pet friendly, because dogs love the Lake District as well.
Serving seasonal, hearty dishes inspired by the farm’s rich history, the bistro is a casual eatery, using locally sourced ingredients, including produce from the farm itself, creating rustic Cumbrian classics and nostalgic British favourites.
The building combines elements of old and new to create a contrasting yet welcoming environment. Floor to ceiling windows and skylights fill the space with natural light, allowing guests to look out onto the breathtaking natural landscape. An open steel staircase leading up to the bedrooms and a modern floating log burner also add to the contemporary surroundings.
Family-run, The Yan epitomises Cumbrian hospitality, offering guests a wholesome welcome, hearty food and stylish interiors, placing the new bistro with beds as the perfect base for those who want to explore The Lakes.
