At the Station' in Acrylics with Ceri Allen

We are thrilled to welcome much admired Cumbria artist, Ceri Allen, to our 2025 programme. Ceri brings an opportunity to discover the subtleties of acrylics, using the setting of the atmospheric railway station platform or waiting room.

Ceri will be exploring depiction of people 'on the move' in stations - on the platform, seated, waiting, in the waiting room.This will be a fully guided 'step by step' course and you will be able to use your own images or those supplied by Ceri.

It will provide a fascinating insight into the abilty to create subtle hues and colours not generally associated with acrylics and yet that are emminently available to us all with guidance. Learn to create shadows and perspectives, highlighting strong shapes and lines, and if you wish develop some skills in depicting the simple shape or impression of the human form. Suitable for all abilities.
