The Lake District, Cumbria is England’s most beautiful corner in any weather, but there’s something magical about the place when the sun shines. The sun draws out walkers and mountaineers, sailors and cyclists, abseilers and zorbers, zipliners and those looking to sit quietly by a lake and take in the majestic beauty of it all.
You could go for a walk with a shepherdess (and her flock of sheep). Go quad biking through a forest, tap into your inner Bear Grylls with a lesson in bushcraft, or test your fear of heights (and your balance) by traversing a cliff on the UK’s best via ferrata. For more adventure thrills, there’s Go-Ape in the Grizedale Forest and Whinlater, or a spot of go-karting. Or you could do something a lot more relaxing and take to a lake for a sunset canoe ride followed by dinner.
When the sun shines in the Lake District, the outdoors is the place to be. We’re ready for you, whatever you want to do.
