Predator Experience, located near to Newby Bridge and Grange-over-Sands, offers innovative interactive experiences with wolf hybrids, foxes, the iconic golden eagle and a variety of other birds of prey. Predator Experience offer an exciting experience, giving visitors the unique opportunity to 'Walk with Wolves' with their wolf hybrid pack.
Following an adventure filled morning, it’s time to refuel with a bite to eat. The picture-postcard village of Cartmel, with a delightful olde-worlde feel and a fine collection of inns, artisan shops is a haven for excellent food and drink. From cafés and pubs to Michelin star restaurants L’Enclume and Rogan & Co and not forgetting world-famous sticky toffee pudding, there’s no shortage of places to enjoy a delicious lunch.
Next it’s time to re-immerse yourself in the outdoors with Lakeland Segway, also located in the stunning Medieval village of Cartmel. Enjoy a guided Segway tour around the beautiful grounds that surround Cartmel Racecourse and The Holker Estate. Segway experiences range from Tasters to Adventure Tours for the more experienced. All tours include professional training, safety instruction and lots of safe practice to make sure you're ready to set off on the tour.
Following your Segway adventure, take the opportunity to explore the nearby charming coastal town of Grange-over-Sands. The town retains much elegance from its Edwardian heyday, with ornamental gardens and a seafront promenade making for the most relaxing walk or cycle ride.
If you would like to extend the afternoon activities, continue onto the delightful seaside village of Arnside. Situated on the southernmost tip of the Lake District, Arnside is set in a designated National Landscape, where low limestone hills, marshy plains and deciduous woodlands characterise the surrounding land.
‘The Knott’ is a limestone hill of woodland and grassland, brimming with butterflies and enjoying panoramic views over Morecambe Bay. Numerous footpaths wend their way to the summit, where a toposcope identifies the surrounding Lakeland fells (on a clear day you can see Blackpool Tower).
Take a stroll along the pretty promenade and make sure to grab yourself some delicious fish and chips, whilst you enjoy the sun setting across the bay to end your perfect day out.
